Note: The ''about us'' section does not include information about the creator and his hedgehog, but includes information about these hedgehogs. I am sorry if the title was misleading.

Information about your new family member-This animal is a small rodent-like creature concerning the erichidinae family (excuse me if this is misspelled). Similar rodents, such as the echidna, belong in this family, along with bats (I believe this is true). The hedgehog obtains about 2000 spines on its back. The spines are actually very stiff and long follicles. Each spine has its own ointment at the tip. This ointment increases the itch whilst being stung. (This needn't call for much concern). In pet stores, the only 2 legal types of hedgehogs you are able to obtain are the African pygmy and the European pygmy hedgehog. This is because they are smaller, thus easier to hold in a home. Their seem to be many types of hedgehogs... Would you like to know about them?

Albino- I will start with my favorite classification. The albino, despite being sold in many pet stores, is very unusual to actually own one. The distinction between the anatomy of the albino hedgehog and other types are as following: They have ruby red eyes, white spines, white fur, pink nose and also around the skin, and extremely poor eyesight. The albino hedgehog makes up for its poor eyesight with its uncanny sense of smell. The only time it discontinues smelling is when it retires for the day or night (they are diurnal, which means they will sleep in the day or the night)

Salt & Pepper- This is a very popular hedgehog classification. They are also the cheapest type of hedgehog ever.
